About the sad

I’m sort of a liar. That’s a nice way of calling me a person who likes to tell stories. Stay at Home Sad started out as a “blog” when I was at home full-time with two of my kids (a third was under the guidance of a school). I wasn’t into the sappy blogs I had seen by other stay at home dads, so decided to tell funny stories about my kids. I loved the kids, but also wanted to not really be home with them all the time – thus, Stay at Home Sad.

I eventually added stories not featuring my kids and decided to post other writing work such as scripts and poems.

I’m always looking to please, so if you like a story, but think it’s too long, just let me know and I’ll edit down. If you like a poem, but don’t understand what it means or would like it longer, just let me know and I’ll make changes for you. Or, if you’d like me to change a character in a script, just drop me a line. Those last three sentences were untrue. See, I really am sort of a liar.

Sadly,

Jason Spafford
